Sandstone Restoration in St Andrews

Few Scottish towns have as much historic stone as St Andrews — from the university's medieval buildings and the cathedral quarter to the honey-toned sandstone townhouses lining North Street and South Street. Much of it is listed, and much of it sits fully exposed to the North Sea.

This is exacting work, and we treat it that way. We use only conservation-approved, breathable methods — gentle steam cleaning, hand-cut matched indents and lime mortars — appropriate for listed buildings and sympathetic to the town's protected character.
